Greetings travlers and Welcome to my Castle. I hope you are enjoying our "cyber-relm". Pray, come in and rest yourself within my Hall whilst I tell you a bit of myself. In this relm I am King but in the real world I work for York International as the Foreman of the Re-Build shop. Summer months are naturally the heaviest for us and I have been putting in a lot of Over-Time.
I would really rather be Fishing, which is my favorite pastime. I love to fish, especially for Musky, and am proud to say that I have "bagged" my share! I take pleasure in the time I spend fishing with my wife, Lady Susan, who is an avid fisher-woman. We always practice "Catch-and-Release" as we believe that we must preserve our natural resources if we want to enjoy them in the future. We have taught this concept to the kids so well that even when I take them Pan-fishing, they won't take the fish! So, although I spend lots of enjoyable hours fishing with the family, I rarely get a fish dinner!
One of my other interests is Baseball. I love the sport and am a 'hard-core' Cubs fan. (I just keep hoping....) I am the Manager of our company's two Soft-ball teams: both called the York Bombers. One is a "16-inch" Men's team, and the other is a "mush-Ball Co-ED team. We did not win any Trophy's this season, but we had a good time and that is what counts. |
My Military service is a thing of the past, but I did serve 10 years in the Navy. During that time I served 11/2 years on River Patrol Boats in Viet Nam. This was our countries' first use if the Riverine Warfare since the War of 1812. I consider it a privilage to have served with such a distnguished Division. While there, I was lucky that being wounded twice, neither was serious. During my tour, I was recepient of: the Bronze Star, The Navy Commendation Medal, (Both with a Combat "V" for Valor) and two Purple Hearts. Some of my very close friends did not fare as well as I did and were not able to come Home. My life-time Prayers are with them and their families. |
